Brief Answer:
Get examined and investigated by a neurologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Speech difficult at this age can be due to many causes like stroke, motor neuron disease, primary progressive aphasia or respiratory cause.
Examination by a neurologist is advisable.
Investigations based on examination findings needs to be done.
Only rehabilitation without any diagnosis maybe detrimental.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
