Question: I have been experiencing constant chest pain which is mostly on the left but began in the middle. Also upper back pain and neck stiffness. This is more intense at night and lying down which causes headache and ear pain. I also have itchy skin and pain down left arm and weakness in left arm. Hi, thanks for the query.
Your symptoms are worrisome for a possible cardiac cause. There is no way to rule this out for sure without an in person evaluation at your local medical center.
I would advise that you proceed to your local emergency room for evaluation. Its possible this may not be cardiac but it is imperative that this is looked into.
I realize this has been going on for a while but it deserves evaluation.
I hope you see your local doctor for evaluation.
Sincerely,
Dr. Galamaga

Thank you for your advice. I too think it is cardiac, but I have been to emergency at the hospital twice and been sent home. My ECG has been ok. I have been back to my GP quite a few times and they are unhelpful and do not appear concerned! I am very distressed by their lack of action and have resorted to this online forum. Shall I go back to the Emergency department at the hospital?
Brief Answer:
Followup
Detailed Answer:
I would contact your primary doctor and request a stress test. this will
be helpful in assessing a possible cardiac cause of pain.
if that is negative - a CT scan may be a reasonable approach.
