
Suggest Treatment For Chest Congestion

Question: my 69 year old husband has Parkinson right now he has been having a problem with conjestion and finding it hard to expel the excessive mucus in his chest. what can he do to eliminate this?

Motor activity is very much effected in Parkinson's disease patients which may be reason for problems in expelling mucus. Apart from using antibiotics to control possible respiratory infection, he needs re evaluation of his Parkinson's treatment by his Neurophysician.
In the meanwhile try Steam inhalation 3-4 times a day..as well as some saline nebulization..
