Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain And Severe Cough
Chest pain
Detailed Answer:
Hello, madame! I am Dr. Meriton. Thank you for your question and welcome to HCM. I carefully read your query.
If you have seen a cardiologist and a pulmonologist, then I am assuming all the needed tests were done, and the cardiac and pulmonary origin of the complaints are ruled out. However, if the tests are not back, we would only speculate if we tried to set a diagnosis with precision. If the above mentioned specialists performed only a visit and not tests, then I would recommend you an echocardiogram and a cardiac stress test, to confirm or exclude any problems with your heart. A plain chest X-ray would help in case we suspect a pulmonary origin of the problem. Also, a upper gastro-intestinal (GI) endoscopy would help to confirm or exclude an ulcer or gastritis as the culprit of your situation.
Should you have any test results, from the above mentioned, I kindly ask to share them with me, so we could narrow our differential diagnosis down. Also, further specific traits of your complaints would help.
I hope I was of help. If you have follow-up questions, I would be happy to help you.
Kind regards,
Dr. Meriton
