When he eats it gets worse but is relieved by taking Mylanta some what. We just spent five and a half hours in the ER and was never seen due to the back log of patients. They did do an EKG and the doctor read it and we were told it was good. My husband is 62 years old he is Diabetic and has had open heart surgery in the past. He had Gallbladder surgery last year.

Hi
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your message. I think I can help you. The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible cardiac lesion. However, ecg is normal. I would still suggest testing cardiac enzymes.
If these are negative other causes will need to be considered like severe gastritis or musculoskeletal pain, or abnormal sugar levels that may cause similar symptoms.
Please inform the cardiac enzymes report.
Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
