Question: To begin with, Back in XXXXXXX I tested positive for Chlamydia, but negative for all other STD's. I was given 2MG of Zithromax and a 10 day doxycycline dosage. I went back a few weeks later and tested negative for chlamydia. In October, I had unprotected sex with a girl I was dating who had a clear pap smear. A few weeks later I ended up urinating blood and having to pee constantly. I went to the ER and they treated me for Chlamydia (again with the 2MG of Zithromax) and a UTI with Ciproflaxacin. They tested my urine and found no chlamydial bacteria, but found E-coli. I finished the 7 days of Ciproflaxacin and the symptoms subsided except for pain in my lower abdomen.(like I was trying to force urine out) The pain was a dull pain that came and went. I again had my urine tested and the test came back negative for chlamydia/Gohnorhea. I have had unprotected sex with a girl I've been dating who has a clean pap smear. I went to the Urologist and he said my urine is fine, but went ahead and prescribed me two weeks of Ciproflaxicin due to my symptoms of lower abdomen pain and pain in my testicles(no discharge). I'm in the second week of the antibiotic, and I am having the urge to urinate and a bit of tingling in my urethra. What is going on?
