Question: My son has a chronic burp deriving from the throat, I believe is referred to as a subdrogastric belch. It started a year ago during a weather change on Southern California. most of the time he is functional and can control it, but when the weather changes.....he cannot control it and with his allergies Which he has been diagnosed with being allergic to 94 percent of common outdoor allergies. It should be noted that he has always had allergies prior to this condition. He is 16. 5 ft 8 and 240 lbs. he wrestled this season and made through a 6 min match. He is not in bad physical condition but is a bit portly. He has also been recently diagnosed add and does takes meds to focus.
Looking for guidance to at the least control the outbreak and at best a cure

Brief Answer:
Endoscopy reports are needed
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
1. Throat burning is indicative for GERD. I need to have the reports of upper endoscopy for further evaluation.
2. With regards to allergy, I advise to discuss with allergologist to decide for maintenance therapy.
3. Being overweight and wrestling do aggravate his symptoms. Try to convince him to avoid wrestling until improvement.
Eating healthy and doing more physical activity can help losing weight and improve the symptoms.
Hope it was of help!
