Brief Answer:
Candida feces test and colonoscopy needed.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Your mucus in stools may come from inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis). Doing a colonoscopy is necessary to evaluate the lesions and to determine the kind of therapy need. Inflammatory bowel disease is treated with anti-inflammatory drugs and immunosuppressants.
Also, I would suggest you to do a test of stools for candida infection. It may give mucus in stools. It is favorized by inflammatory bowel disease and by overuse of antibiotics.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
