Suggest Treatment For Chronic Bronchitis

Question: hello, dr., I'm wondering about the success rate of syn visc, I think it's called, when a person isn't a surgical candidate and has bone on bone in both knees. My husband has dental issues, some cardiomyopathy, is diabetic, and has chronic bronchitis, and I know that surgery would probably be difficult post-operatively, as a retired nurse with 2 knee replacements. what does the research show about this? Thank you.
Brief Answer:
Depends on how much cartilage is remaining
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Visco injection or Hyaluronic acid injection is useful only when there is some cartilage in the joint.
Bone to bone contact indicates the need For Total knee replacement.
There would be better relief with physiotherapy and steroid injection. Visco can help if there is some cartilage. Please upload your Xray report of the knee if possible.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
