Suggest Treatment For Chronic Constipation

Question: I have had chronic constipation for several years which I have been told is a result of medication I take for pain. I take Tramadol for RA and fibromyalgia pain. I had surgery one week ago for bladder prolapse with no complications.
Is there anything I could try besides adding more fiber and drinking more water (which I already do)? I was told not to strain because of the internal incision I have.
Thank you

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking.
You are reporting to have had chronic constipation and you are using laxatives and fiber packs.
In this situation I would suggest to :
- use olive oil 3 teaspoons per day
- take plenty of water
- increase physical activity like walking
- use stool softener like Metamucil
- use enema if needed
- start to use duspataline 3×1tb për day.
- avoid unnecessary stress
Otherwise to my opinion you should perform colonoscopy to better determine large bowel.
Hope it was helpful to you.
