Suggest Treatment For Chronic Diarrhea

Question: my wife has chronic diahoria- recently we had been to gastroentrologist and he asked to do vit B12, JGATTG antibody test ,Stool and USG of abdomen . All the test has been done and except TTG antibody all the results are with in range . Her TTG antibody result is 13 U/ml . Doctor has advised to repeat the test .

Hello, Thank you for posting your question on Health Care Magic.
Your TTG is on the borderline when 10 is the cut off.
Still it is better to repeat once.
If it still continues to be high this means you have to eat only gluten free diet.
Just diet modification will help to decrease your diarrhoea.
Please see a dietician and get a diet chart for gluten free diet,and follow it strictly.
Nevertheless let me know the repeat. value of TTG
If it is positive again and dietary modification doesn't work steriods will have to be used.
