Suggest Treatment For Chronic Maxillary Sinusitis And Post Nasal Drip
Question: I have rigt chronic maxillary sinus disease with mucosal thickening and retention cyst. There is bony erosive change and bony expansion extending into the maxilla and root of the molar. Soft tissue around molar. Findings may represent odontogenic abscess... What treatment is necessary. Only symptoms I have is post nasal drip.

Thank you doctor dr . XXXXXXX , because of this abscess , this causes this awful post nasal drainage or could it be the rentention cyst .. ??, and as far as drainage , can this be done easily at ENT or Dentist office ?? Easy procedure ???should this Augmentin be continued if it's not going to work or should I stop it and wait till it gets done ... Just hoping the nasal drip stops at least for a little bit .. Thanks so much

Some retention cysts can resolve on their own, this may not need specific treatment. It occurs as a result of blockage of in a duct (passage way).
The augmentin should be continued because it would slow down any possible progression of the abscess.
The drainage should be able to be done in a dental office or ENT office though since involves mouth, the dentist would be most appropriate . Most dental offices would have the necessary facilities.
