Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, i would explain that it is important performing a comprehensive differential diagnosis between different causes that may lead to this clinical scenario:

- Musculo-skeletal pain. Is your pain triggered by body movements? This would be indicative of musculo-skeletal pain. I would recommend performing a chest X ray study, a shoulder joint X ray study and inflammation tests (complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate).

- Myocardial ischemia. Your pain is not typical of myocardial ischemia, but considering your past medical history, I would recommend performing a resting ECG and cardiac stress test to exclude this disorder.

- Radicular pain related to nerve compression or backbone disorder. I would recommend performing a cervical spine X ray study and a nerve conduction study to exclude this possibility.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Meanwhile, I recommend taking tylenol or ibuprofen for the pain.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
