Suggest Treatment For Chronic Sore Throat
Question: Daily chronic sore throat for over 13 years. Had intravenous cat scan of throat done . Also had esophagus and stomach biopsy. Negative results. No other health issues during that time. Is this HIV

Doc. Not to question your experience but I have seen chronic sore throat is associated with Hiv due to thrush or herpes. Can you explain. Also What test should I have ent. Do? Thank you.

Herpes and candida also unlikely as biopsy as not given any results .And they would have other manifestation by now.
Gastro esophageal reflux or allergies have to be ruled out.
You can go for laryngoscopy.you can also go for HIV testing if in doubt.
