Question : Hello my name is XXXXXXX Im having trouble with my left ear. It feels full and my hearing in it is not optimal. A few days ago I was cleaning my ears with a Q-Tip ( which will not happen again), anyway I accidently went to far and hit my ear drum where i immediately got the full sensation with pain. It hurt only when I tried to pop my ears. Now, 3 days later I can pop my ears with no trouble but I still have this full feeling in my ear. Did I cause permanent damage? There was no bleeding or fluid at all during this predicament.

The reason why you are experiencing feeling of fullness in the ear is due to impacted ear wax as a result of manipulation with Q tip.
Once the wax is removed, your ears will open up. No need to worry about permanent damage. You can use ear wax removal drops to soften the wax and follow up with an ENT specialist to get the wax removed.Since your wax has likely impacted, using home kit to remove wax will most likely not help.
Please be advised to follow up with an ENT specialist for wax removal.
