Suggest Treatment For Club Foot In An Infant
Question: Hi,
My second kid is 9 days old.baby developed tachypnoea soon after birth and was admitted in nicu.tachypnoea settled within 12 hours and diagnosed TTN.The neonatologist told me that he has bilateral CTEV and ortho consultation advised.2 days back we met a orthopaedic paediatrician and he told us that this is not CTEV and baby's foot will become normal by doing some exercise. we don't know what to do?we are in confusion.iam attaching some pictures of his foot.can u please diagnise his problems by checking these images .is it CTEV or not.?.if it is ctev what we have to do.? Is it completely curable?where we get best treatments in Kerala?what are the treatments for ctev?

On left side there is definitely varus,
Some more photos in different angle will help to confirm CTEV.
Another possibility can be tibial hemimelia leading to varus [inward position of foot]
For this x ray of lower limb will help in diagnosis.
CTEV is completely curable.
CTEV can be treated with plaster in early stage.
