Brief Answer:
For resistant coccydynia sacral local block injection may be helpful.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have studied your case.

For resistant coccydynia sacral local block injection may be helpful.
Prolotherapy [local injection] may also work for sacral pain.

Consult your doctor for injection.

Continue physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.
Continue sitz bath and use of ring cushion.
Yes it may take time to decrease pain if not treated.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

I have that ring tube but i stopped using it after 4-5 months. I am a CA final student and have my papers in may. I could not attempt my past exams properly and during exam time the pain becomes unbearable and it becomes difficult for me to walk. Till date i am unable to sit for more than 15-20 mins. Shall i drop my attempt and take proper rest? I want to know if exerting during papers will make it even worse? I fear if i sit in exams it would increase my problem for lifetime.
Am i allowed to drive scooter, Physical routine exercises, skipping etc? Any precautions to be taken??

Brief Answer:
You can give your exam but use ring cushion/soft cushion for long sitting

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

I understand your problem.
I will advise you to take sacral block injection to get relief from persistent pain.

You can give your exam but use ring cushion/soft cushion for long sitting.
Rest is not necessary now after 18 months of persistent pain.

Pain will not remain for life time.

While driving scooter you can use soft cushion. Avoid bad jerks while driving.
You can do physical exercises, skipping also.
Strengthen your gluteal and sacral muscles.
Avoid sitting on hard surface, avoid sudden jerks, do sitz bath.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Sir i couldn't understand that 18 months point? I am suffering from 10 months, rest is not the solution, is that so?

And sir, what exercises do you recommend, pls name them so that i can ask my physiotherapist for it.

Also any pain killer medicine if required that can be taken during exam tym?

I am afraid of taking injection, bt is it a guaranteed solution?

And sir, following all your instructions (other than injection for the time being) how much time more time will it take to recover?
Bcz sir its already been 10 months, i really now wanna get rid of it.

Is the recovery permanent, or i will have to take care (like using soft cushion, no long sitting) always??

Forceful Sitting during examinations even in pain will cause any kind serious damage or enhance the problem?

Can acupressure be a solution?

Brief Answer:
Explained below

Detailed Answer:
Hello again

Rest is no solution now as it’s already 10 months old.

Yes you can do Kneeling groin stretch and piriformis stretch.

You can take tab altraday for exam time.

Injection can give long term relief. It is not guaranteed solution.

Recovery time is not fix but approximate 3 to 4 months.

Recovery will be permanent.
It also depends on how pain started. Like any injury? Fall? Excessive sitting?

During exam time you should sit with your cushion. If you sit on hard surface for long time pain will aggravate.

Acupressure may help but no guaranty.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Take care
