Suggest Treatment For Cold And Cough In A Child

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Cough,nasal blockage and cold are mostly due to viral infections of upper respiratory tract (pharynx,sinus,larynx, epiglottis) in infants.
During this season, viral infections are very common.
I would suggest the following:
1) Please keep feeding your baby regularly.
2) Make sure he passes urine regularly and take his feed properly.
3) Keep a watch on fever.
4) Buy vapocaps available in the market and sprinkle the content on his clothes, pillow etc. This will prevent his nose from getting blocked.
5) Give CETIRIZINE Syrup 3 ml Two times daily for cold and cough for the next 5 days.
6) For nasal blockage, give plain Saline nasal drops every 4-6th hourly to relieve from nasal congestion or saline nebulization would also be helpful through pediatric mask.
