Brief Answer:
it may be LRTI

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
It may be, viral infection of the lower respiratory tract (LRTI), superadded by bacterial infection.
Most of the time, if the viral infection lasts more than a week then there are chances of getting secondary bacterial infection due to reduced immune response of the body.
Your doctor had done the right thing to start with s-mucolite and augmentin dds (antibiotic).
You can wait for 2 to 3 days after starting the antibiotics.

If there is no improvement in the symptoms or if the condition worsens then you need to see a doctor for blood tests and chest X-ray.

Hope I helped you.

Thanks for the quick response. I will wait for few days but what do I do of the fever. Also I forgot to mention that I am also giving him Rinifol. He has not been eating anything and I have to gv him medicines on empty stomach. Today whole day he was too drowsy and was sleeping most of the time. Hope this is not because of the medicines

Brief Answer:
continue rinifol

Detailed Answer:
Thaks for the follow up.
Continue syp. rinifol.
If baby is not eating anything then you can give medicines after milk or oral rahydration solution.
Little bit of drowsiness can be there due to fever and weakness.
If baby is excessively drowsy, not taking milk also and urine output is less then see doctor.
