Suggest Treatment For Cold And Throat Infection

Question: I'm suffering from cold & throat infection from past 10 days. Initially for 5 days i took citrizine and Bacrim DS but things didn't work out. On consultation with the doctor have started taking Erethomicine 500mg from last 2 days. Things are better but there is slight bleeding from the nose from yesterday. Kindly advise

Hi,

If the bleeding was very mild and if it is not persisting, then I will not be worried. Sometimes inflammatory changes makes tissues friable and easy to bleed. Perhaps this is what caused the nasal bleed.

Do not pick nose or try to forcefully blow nose. You should report back to the doctor if bleeding persists.

Erythromycin doesn't cause nasal bleed, so continue the course as instructed.
