Suggest Treatment For Cold And Vomiting

Question: By baby is suffering from cold. He is vomiting when he is having any food except mother feed. He is also getting new teeth. I am not sure what can be a cause of his current problem(Cold or New teeth). Please suggest some medicine or cure..

Thanks for writing to us.
The symptoms you described could go with a viral infection which is very common in this age.
Teething is not directly related to vomiting and cold.
But indirectly because teething provokes babies to put everything in to their mouth which can result in an infection.
But don't worry as most of these infections are viral they will settle in a few days.

You can try antihistamines like T minic drops for cold.
I usually prescribe around 0.5 ml twice daily for 3 days.
For vomiting I usually prescribe ondansetron syrup 3 ml thrice daily at this age.
If no improvement with these medicines in two days or if child vomits continuously or if he becomes dull with low urine output, take him to your doctor immediately.
