Cold and laryngitis for about 3 days.Just taking over the counter cold remendie.Runny nose and cough. No anitbiotics yet.Asthma not aggravated.Just a cough. Flue shot about 3 weeks ago.Thanks

I would consider it better for you to be started on antibiotics. The symptoms appear to be due to viral infection. Since viral infection reduce the local immunity of respiratory tract, there are high chances of secondary bacterial infections. It is wise to start antibiotics to prevent further worsening of the infection.
Better choice would be a cephalosporin like Cefixime.
