Suggest Treatment For Cold, Sinus Congestion And Hearing Loss

Posted on Tue, 4 Apr 2017
Question: I just returned from Wisconsin with a serious cold/sinus and am almost totally deaf which I have had twice before in my 67 year adult life. Before I had to go to a specialist, received a shot and if I remember correctly I took antibiotics for 10 days. Unfortunately that doctor would be 90 years old if still alive. Need a recommendation in the Corpus XXXXXXX Tx area. Or will it get better. I am still ill

Brief Answer:
Supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Cold and sinuses congestion with associated deafness likely due to eustachian tube dysfunction is common and nothing to worry about and with supportive care resolves in a couple of weeks. But it is wise to go to an otolaryngologist and let them have a look and assess the sinuses, hearing functions and vestibular functions all associated with ear.
