Today suddenlyhes developed fever since morning. He is not at all active .his temp in the noon was 100.6 I gave him Sinarest syrup 2 ml. The fever did not completely subside. Now at 8.30 I again gave him 3 ml Sinarest. His stools are normal. Upper part of body generally goes warm. He's mainly on breastmilk only had some rice for lunvh. Need advice as to if this is because of teething or something else.
Brief Answer:
this is not because of teething
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcaremagic
This is upper respiratory tract infection. Most probably due to virus. For fever give him antipyretic like crocin drops.you can repeat after 6 hours at the time of fever.Don't give sinarest while crocin is on.Sinarest is not for fever.Teething doesn't cause any infection. If fever persists then show to your pediatrician as then he will need evaluation and if required antibiotic.
Hope I answered your query
Best regards

Thank you for your advice Dr. Mahajan.
I forgot to mention I have also given him pneumococcal Premvar.
Unfortunately its too late for me to go and buy crocin drops now. Will buy it tomorrow.
But the contents of Sinarest say it is analgesic and antipyretic so I think I have no option for tonite other than Sinarest syrup which I have.
Tomorrow is a Sunday and a pediatrician might not b available where I am so hoping the temperature will subside or will make an urgent call to the doctor. Until then I will bother U.
I am breast feeding him and he's just started solids one month back. Any do's and don'ts for food.
