Question: My daughter is 4 years old. Since last 6 months, she has been suffering from cold(running nose, sometimes blockage). Due to which, she got an ear infection(Discharge from right ear). When she is on an Antibiotic, there is no discharge but after couple of days, we see discharge again. We are not able to control her cold. Currently we give Relent syp 5ml in the night and Nosoclear Nasal drops(2 drops - morning and evening) Please advise on how to avoid cold Thank you

Brief Answer: A better antibiotic is needed Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for your query. Based on the history provided I believe a better antibiotic is needed to treat your child. Kindly mention the name of the antibiotic with which she is being treated for last few days. I shall advice a better one, you can discuss about the same with her treating doctor and get it prescribed for her. Waiting for your response,

Brief Answer: Relent or Sinarest Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for writing back. Sorry for the delay in my response. Cold is a symptom of an infection in the upper respiratory tract. Relent Syrp should help. If not you can give Sinarest Syrp 5 ml of it twice daily. Antibiotic given is good. For now there is no need for any antibiotic. Wish her a early recovery. Regards,
