Question: I have been put on antibiotics for colon infection. Never had one before I am 60. But they sort of ignored by discomfort in my balls is this normal? i DO NOT SMOKE OR DRINK AND AM NOT ON ANY other Medications.

I do have lower back issue's that cause balls to ache. But rare. Bladder infection ruled out by test.
I have been told my prostate larger but healthy about 9 months age last checked.

Brief Answer:
The discomfort in testicles could be related. On completion, talk to doctor

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through the details that you have provided. Colonic infections are quite common and if you get one, it is not really unusual. It is good to hear that you have been healthy enough to not have got such an infection earlier. The discomfort in your testicles could be related. But it needs clinical correlation and hence examination is required.

In the current context, I would suggest you to wait till the course of antibiotics is completed. If you still have the discomfort, you can talk to your doctor about that.

Hope that helps.
