Brief Answer: Treatment depends on symptoms you experience. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thank You for consulting HealthcareMagic! Concretions are collection of different kind of materials like calcium, phosphate other debris etc in kidney or urinary tract which aggregate in formation of stones. Treatment depends on symptoms you experience. There are no specific medicines to be used for this. Drink good amount of water if you do not have any preexisting kidney disease in doing so. If the symptoms are bothersome, then surgical treatment may be required. You may need CT scan of abdomen for better picture but physical examination is mandatory before deciding all these. Discuss these with your treating doctor as well. Stay healthy and thank you for consulting! You can contact me again anytime, if you need clarifications or further assistance in future. Hi, Thanks for your reply. Actually I could have gone for CT scan but I remember once doctor told me that too many radiations will not be good for health.I had CT scan 1.5 months before in that it showed 5mm stone in left kidney. One Doctor suggested me to have some sound wave treatment for that. So I went to another doctor for second advice. He told me sound wave treatment is too much since stone size is small enough that drinking lots of water will be enough. So now in yesterday's ultrasound it showed few concretions. So that is why I am confused whether do I have stone or not? and do I need to take some medicines for prevention. Sorry for long mail. But I feel like mentioning all the points. Thanks, XXXXXX

Brief Answer: There won't be many medicines for prevention in th Detailed Answer: Hi, There won't be many medicines for prevention in this case. If the content of those concretions is known, then appropriate measures are possible. But, again it is a difficult task. Based on your symptoms treatment has to be decided. That is, if you have any pain or burning urination or if ultrasound shows any blockage or hydronephrosis etc, then the management is planned accordingly. Going for sound wave treatment as of now is not mandatory but to avoid any chances of getting it complicated, may be needed. However, a physical examination is needed before deciding it. Take Care!
