Brief Answer:
MiraLax usually produces a bowel movement within 1 to 3 days

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

It is difficult to figure out the cause of constipation. Constipation definition varies from person-to-person. Stools may be too hard or too less, difficult to pass, or infrequent (less than three times per week). Some people with constipation may feel a sense that the bowels are not empty.

MiraLax is a laxative solution that increases the amount of water in the intestinal tract to stimulate bowel movements.

Do NOT use Miralax for more than three to five days.

Follow advice mentioned below:

- Take 2-3 spoon edible virgin olive oil in the morning
- Mix few drops of "lemon juice" in warm water. Drink on empty stomach, early in the morning, to aid in bowel movement
- Take two teaspoons (or one big spoon) isphagula husk with 200 to 300 mL water thrice daily
- Increase warm water intake (at least 8 glass/day)
- Do not drink water during and after meals
- Eat small meals (rich in fiber)
- Eat plentiful "fresh oranges" and "pear"
- Avoid COLD milk and and AVOID junk food (NO burger, pizza-even if it is veg.) altogether
- Avoid beverages / alcohol / soft drinks
- Do some exercise (push-ups / squats etc) early in the morning
- Avoid carbonated drinks

Hope this answers your concern. Wishing your daughter good and sound health.
