Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
In case of nausea and vomiting, consuming high fiber supplement like psyllium husk will further exacerbate the indigestion and lead to more nausea.
In my view the treatment should involve two medications only, a PPI to reduce the acid content and secretion plus a gastro kinetic like itopride or domeperidone that would help in relieving constipation as well as serve as anti emetics. Treatment should be continued for 3 weeks.
The probiotics can be counter productive as they can lead to constipation , in many individuals. Acne flare is unlikely related to these symptoms.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks

I will need to use both of these OTC products for 3 weeks? How effective is it compared to lactulose? Any other options other than metoclopramide?
Hi there,
Thank you for the prompt reply unfortunately, I do not have the option for any prescribed medication as the PPI. What other options over the counter could I potentially use? Tagamet or Prilosec, Tums, GasX? What are your recommendations. I feel pain in the abdomen and back pain as well associated to the congestion.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
Prilosec is a PPI. For the gastro kinetics , metoclopramide is most likely to be available OTC.

Hello again.
Yes, omeprazole (Prilosec) 40 mg once daily and metoclopramide 10 mg thrice a day. Metoclopramide is a gastro kinetic like itopride or domeperidone. Any one of these can be used.
Thanks
