Brief Answer:
Supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

i read your question and i understand your concern. Constipation some times be very bothering and not responding to conventional therapies. Some times emergency manual evacuation is necessary. More important is to work up to find out any primary cause for the constipation. X ray defecography, lower GI endoscopy, colonic transit studies, surface anal electromyography and ballon evaluation is advised.

Management is mostly supportive. Compliant use of laxatives, many options to select from, if not helpful use in combination with suppositories and enemas is helpful. There is a long list of medications that can help in constipation from osmotic, emollient, bulk forming laxatives and newer forms like prucalopride, lubiprostone, linaclotide that can be used. More important is diet and lifestyle adjustments, use of fiber and fluids in abundance, exercise, use of morning bowel movements and see if it helps.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
