Suggest Treatment For Constipation
Question: I am a 68 Years old male.I have constipation for the last five days. I was taking livoluk for two days.Then two tabs of Cremalax 10 mg each.Again could not clear my stomach except for small stool.I don't have pain or bloating.I bought laxopeg sachets but have taken 20 mg(two tabs of 10 mg each) in the morning but to no effect.I am drinking lots of water.Should I take Cremalax again at night? Or do you recommend I take laxopeg XXXXXXX with water.Kindly advise.

See , Livoluk , Cremaffin helps in Acute Constipation but dose may vary.
I advise my patients to take Syrup Cremaffin 15 ml in night. If they are not relieved I advise to take it twice or thrice in a day, till they pass semi solid stool. Then further to take Cremaffin 15 ml daily in night time.
In your scenario, I would advise you to take 2 sachets of Laxopeg tonight.
You can take it even twice or thrice a day till you get semi solid stools.
If you pass stools well tomorrow morning you can carry on with Cremaffin in night. If you still don't pass stools in morning then you can take the Laxopeg sachets tomorrow in day time too.
Also, I would advise you to take high fiber diet like fruits , green leafy vegetables.
Also, I would suggest you to get your thyroid profile done if you have chronic constipation.
So, as far as your query is concerned, you should take 2 Laxopeg sachets tonight. Don't take Cremaffin.
