Suggest Treatment For Constipation

Question: Hello Dr. Rynne...25 year old woman...extremely constipated for a month(taking fiber etc). Stomach is inflamated and protruding and 24 hour extreme pain. Also burning flem coming up through her throat from her stomach. She is here on a student visa from Colombia. She is a very thin woman. ...Can you please give you opinion and what kind of dr. we should consult with..thank you XXXXXXX XXXX

She should take an enema/stool softener, a regular doctor will treat her

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. Sorry about the trouble. She seems to be quite "backed up" as she is now producing contents from her mouth. Please note that the fiber is not helping at this point and she needs a rectal enema that will help disimpact her bowel. She can visit with any doctor really will be able to have a handle on the situation. I hope this helps and good luck
