Suggest Treatment For Consumption Of Mosquito Repellant
Question: Dear sir,
My kid who is having 10months old has consumed Good night power control liquid mosquitto repellant on yesterday at 3PM very small qty.after that we have done vomitting with him,kept in free air for respiration,drinking of water has been done.But till now no any type of abnormality exists and fever exists.So, kindly advice us about what type of treatment is necessary as a corrective action.

Give him paracetamol syrup

If the fever is not associated with any other symptoms like respiratory or gastrointestinal tract there is no cause for concern.
It could be coincidental viral fever.
I would suggest you the following
1. Paracetamol (Calpol or Cronin) 10 MG per kilograms body weight per dose given every 6 hourly
2. Tepid sponging: 20 minutes after giving paracetamol syrup wipe his whole body with soft napkin soaked in filtered water.
3. Give him his regular diet and breastfeeding
4. Give him adequate oral liquid: plain water or juice can be given
I hope the child is accepting feeds well and sleeping well.
