Suggest Treatment For Corn On Feet
Sorry for incovenience due technical difficulties.
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Just now, I have received your photo and find my answer as following:
If the dead skin you took off was hard, then, it might be corns that might be caused perhaps by wearing not appropriate shoes. This is the part of the toe that gets friction with the shoes and will cause such problems.
It continues bleeding because you forced to take the dead skin off, which is not recommended.
I advise to :
- wear shoes with enough space (so, no friction won't be caused to the affected skin)
- wash your feet with warm water and soap
- dry it well
- apply zinc oxide cream to help regenerate the skin faster. Do not apply otc deinfectant (iodine) directly on the ulcerated skin as it will increase bleeding. That's why you are having more bleeding after medicating the ulcer. Cover the affected skin with medicated bandage.
Please bare in mind to wear shoes that have enough space or to use open shoes to avoid further local friction/trauma.
It will be fine in a few days. If no improvement, or it will continue bleeding, should consult with a podiatrist and to run further tests:
- diabetes testing
- complete blood work
- measuring hemorrhage/coagulation/prothrombin time
Hope it was of help! Once again, sorry for the inconvenience caused!
