Suggestions on treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hi... I have just gone through the reports and chest X-ray.
By what you quote and also by what the reports say and chest X-ray shows o feel that it could be a viral pneumonia which might not require antibiotics at all. In such a case two antibiotics are not warranted at all. But I have observed that the spacing of antibiotics should be like this.
1. The dose of Ceftriaxone should be 375 mg twice a day.
2. Stop Augmentin, Oxymetazoline, Ascoril and injection Dexa.
3. Budesol can be given in a 5 month old when clinically required, but after going through your answers I don't think it is indicated in this case.
4. Injection Dexa is a more potent steroid then Budesol. Please stop it.
