Suggest Treatment For Cough, Dry Mouth And Clogged Ears

Question: I believe I have an upper respitory infection-coughing, dry mouth etc. no sore throat and no fever. Last night was the first night in slept more than a few hours and when I woke up my ear was clogged. I’ve tried a few things to get it unclogged but nothing/very frustrating. Is there anything else I can try. How late my will this last or will it unclog naturally? I can also tell when I lean over it’s a little worse. Thanks.
Brief Answer:
Oral antibiotic therapy is most beneficial.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
As per your symptoms, the possibility of a bacterial upper respiratory tract infection is very high. It's important to treat the above condition with appropriate antibiotics.
I generally prescribe antibiotics i.e. Amoxicillin-Clavulanate twice daily for 5 days for an effective symptomatic improvement. Additionally nasal decongestants will help to relieve the block in the ears as well. Stream inhalation will help as well.
Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications to you.
Hope I have answered your query. Thank you.
