Brief Answer:
cough induced laryngitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are unable to speak from yesterday. Based on your clinical details, it appears to be acute laryngitis (voice box infection) secondary to cough.

I suggest you to follow these measures to overcome your cough and speech issues.
1. Absolute voice rest.

2. Steam inhalation twice daily.

3. Stop ascoryl (if you do not have wheeze) and continue syp.phensedyl 10ml thrice daily and dolo 650 twice daily for throat pain.

4. Salt water gargle twice daily for congested throat.

5. In case of persistent productive cough, you need to see an ent surgeon or local physician for one more course of antibiotics with or without steroid.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health...
