Suggest Treatment For Cracked Front Tooth
Question: Hi,
Today morning while brushing my teeth (I use Philips Sonic care) and Sensodine tooth paste daily white, my lower front teeth's root got chipped. I am not sure if it can be fixed but I can feel the crack with my tongue. I don't want to loose my teeth, could you please suggest what would be the best option here? I am going to see a dentist as well.

Brief Answer:
Go for capping; if pulp involved then RCT also
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing in.
Your treatment will be based on the extent of fractured tooth. In case, its deep & involves pulp then go for Root Canal Treatment followed by capping. If it doesn't involve pulp then directly go for capping.
This is the only way to save tooth.
Consult dentist for further treatment plan.
Hope I answered your query
Wishing you good health

Will it be a long process? Its my front tooth so I am not sure if there is room for capping.
Brief Answer:
RCT- 7 days ; Capping- 3 days
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concern for esthetics.
If pulp is involved then RCT is compulsory & it can be single sitting or 3-4 sittings at gap of 3 days followed by capping.
In case direct capping is required then it will take 2 sittings. Even for that time ask your dentist to place temporary crown. So that it doesnt looks bad.Don't worry for space he will make it himself.
