Brief Answer:
With proper care it will improve

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

I can understand your concern.Cradle cap or seborrhoeic dermatitis is a very common problem in this age.It is a kind of inflammation of the skin.Although there is a hypothesis of associated fungal infection but exact cause is not well known.
It improves with proper care.
As baby is too small for giving bath and there are chances of hypothermia.I would better suggest you to apply some mild steroid like mometasone(momet 0.01 %)daily for 7-10 days to decrease the inflammation.
You can also apply some baby oil.Leave it there for few hours then wash it with ketoconazole shampoo(an antifungal) followed by gentle brushing with a soft brush.Do it once or twice a week.
Apply some emollient over the affected skin then wipe it off gently with wet soft cloth. With all these measures I hope it will improve.

Please do ask if you have any more doubts.
Thanks and regards
