Brief Answer:
Antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medication needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/59 - deep cut on finger - on the bend near fingernail - a week ago - nauseated - achy - infected - not seen a Doctor - applied antibiotic cream -
Could not understand the relevance of having no phone.

Please post clear photos if possible as they help for on-the-spot diagnosis.

I would advise you the following:
Clean the would with Hydrogen peroxide and liquid povidone iodine.
Apply liquid Povidone Iodine 4 times a day on a few layers of bandage applied.
If this is infected and you have nausea and feeling achy, you need an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory medicines - need a valid prescription of your local Doctor.
Keep the hand elevated above heart level in lying down position as this helps in reducing edema and pain.
Since this is about a week, stitching is not done hence you need to split the finger in such a way that the movement of the finger is restricted to allow early healing.

I hope this answer helps you to get well soon.
