Suggest Treatment For Cyst On Skin With Foul Smelling White Discharge
Question: I have had a blackhead,(diagnosed by an internist), for a few years. It must have popped a few days ago. I didn't notice it at first. Now there is smelly, white puss oozing out. Is this dangerous? I am cleaning it with first aid cleaner, applying an antibiotic cream, and applying a bandage.
Brief Answer:
Sebaceous cyst
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Your symptoms are suggestive of sebaceous cyst.
It is collection of debris under skin and occasionally discharges white foul smelling material.
Its good you are applying antibiotic cream.
There is nothing to worry as it is not dangerous.
Usually it heals on Its own.
If possible please upload a photograph of the involved area.
This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis.
Thank you.
