Suggest Treatment For Cystitis And Stones In Kidney
left calculus measuring 5mm noted in mid calyx
Please find details below
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
As long the stones are in the kidney, one on each side, there is no problem as it is a small stone. It is possible that the stone might enter the ureter (tube connecting kidney and urinary bladder) and when in the lower part of ureter and at that time it might cause obstruction to flow of urine. You might have pain at this time which will disappear once the stone reaches the urinary bladder. When this happens you might experience severe sharp pain for few days and require pain killers for sometime. Please continue drinking lots of water at that time.
Regarding your medications, please send me the generic names of pantasan and nimit3 and I will reply back with detailed information.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
PENTASTAR-D cap contains: pantoprazole (EC) 40 mg, domperidone (SR) 20 mg, domperidone (IR) 10 mg. This is given for gastritis and vomiting. It must be taken 30 minutes before food.
NIMITIZ tab contains: nimesulide 100 mg, tizanidine hydrochloride 2 mg. This is given for pain relief.
For cystitis, which is urinary bladder infection please do the following
(i) First you need urine culture and sensitivity test and then if any infection is found then please take a complete course of antibiotics as told by your doctor.
(ii) Please drink 2 to 2.5 litres of water per day and pass urine when bladder is full.
(iii) Take ALKASOL syrup 15 ml twice or thrice daily dissolved in water. This will reduce acidity in urine and you can take for 3 days.
The gall bladder tests must be discussed with a surgeon and liver function tests to be done. You can do this after you recover from cystitis.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
The cystitis and stones in kidney can get treated with tablets.
The gall bladder polyps require surgery but size is important before suggesting surgery.
You can scan and send your ultrasound report if you want to discuss in detail.
