Suggest Treatment For Dandruff, Dry Itchy Scalp And Hair Loss

Question: having dandruff possibly and also itching and flaking more in dry condition,scalp is also dry,loosing hair and greying also.my sister also had same problems.but not as this much

Thanks for the question.

Firstly I have read your query and understand your concerns as you are losing hairs at early age with greying and dandruff.

Your Hair problems could be due to poor nutrition (greying) and fungal infection (dandruff and hair fall).

Greying of hairs is also genetically related which unfortunately doesn't have any permanent solution but they can be arrested or delayed by good nutritious diet like vitamins, proteins and minerals.

You need to have patience as fungal infection requires treatment (antifungal shampoo-Ketoconazole which you are already taking) for longer time.

Hair loss can be regained by MINOXIDIL lotion application on bald areas.

Minoxidil should be used on absolutely clean scalp. Since the drug is available in an alcoholic base therefore it won't mix with Oil and Oil would form film impermeable to Minoxidil.

You may use oil 2 hours before shampooing hair.

Results are usually noticeable over a period of 6-12 months of regular Minoxidil topical use and oral treatment.

However you should take minoxidil only after consulting skin specialist.
