Suggest Treatment For Dandruff Like Scales On Head
Question: My son is 11 years old. I noticed several lumps on the right side of his head with scales on it appearing like dandruff. I have been shampooing his head for over a week trying to get it to wash away. It appears right back. it looks like dandruff on top of the lumps. There is about 3 lumps on the right side of his head just above his ears.

I would suggest you to see your local doctor or dermatologist soon since ruling out of a fungal infection called Tinea Capitis is essential.
Young children are very prone to fungal infections of the scalp and they need long term and continuous treatment . So it becomes essential to confirm the diagnosis by a koh smear test from the scalp before starting the treatment .
