Suggest Treatment For Dark Pigmentation Under The Eye
Question: Hi
I am 37 female having severe dark circles for years. I used so many creams but of no avail. I don't think I am anemic or having iron deficiency. I was having small pigmentation on one cheek and going to a dermatologist. She prescribed me melaglow cream along with sunscreen and antoxid HC for three months and peeling . I have successfully completed the course. Pigmentation is in control. Still going to the doc once in a month for medifacial. My question is I am having treatment but there is no reduction in dark circles. How can I know the real reason for the dark circles? Is the pigmentation main culprit behind the dark circles as I am having dark circles long before the pigmentation. Please suggest and guide me. what cream should I use as now I can't afford any other treatment going to a dermatologists as all skin treatments are so expensive. I am considering eyelite cream from XXXXXXX company. Right now using tea bags at night and potato slices i n day time. Please guide me.

The common causes of dark circles are Anaemia, Thyroid dysfunction, Nutritional deficiency, stress, improper sleep. At times, no actual reason is found for dark circles.
In idiopathic cases that is when no cause is found, I prefer to advise topical cream containing kojic acid , vitamin C, licorice etc like Carofit XXXXXXX cream from XXXXXXX ' s company . It is to be applied twice daily around eyes for 4-6 weeks minimum.
Also Lactic acid peels In combination show good results.
The reason for dark circles and pigmentation are not same. You should apply a broad spectrum sunscreen regularly over face. You may continue to use home remedies like you have been using. These are useful too.

One last thing what will you suggest for my face as a maintenance cream for a long term use as now I have shadow like pigmentation mark. My doc suggested me a cream for face "C25 CREAM" that is too expensive for a middle class woman. And for dark circles so that the dark circles can at least be reduced if not gone completely.
