Suggest Treatment For Darkening Skin Of Face And Neck

Question: Hi sir,
I have a query regarding my face and neck skin .Before 4-5 years its fair skin but now is going dark day by day, Please suggest what I should do to protect this, I am using SPF 50 water resistant when going out side but don't think is working.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
There could be many causes for skin darkening like tanning, melasma, lichen planus pigmentosus, eczemas like atopic dermatitis, photodermatitis etc.

I would appreciate if you could upload an image of your face and neck, so that I can prescribe appropriate medicines after ascertaining the cause of pigmentation. The most common cause is usually sun induced tanning.
