Attached is my CASA report. Please advice me, on the sperm motility and morphology issue, which im seeing from my report.
I had fathered a child, in 2012, unfortunately, did not survive , and we took a break for a year, since then we have tried for about 5-6 months with no positive result. Please advise me with the report attached
Decreased motility
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I read your query and I understand your concerns about CASA report attached..
Following is my reply:
1) Your semen analysis seems to be normal except for decreased motility ( especially rapid motility ). Morphology seems to be normal.
2) Since I already conceived once i dont think you should take this report of low motility seriously and this is unlikely to be a reason for infertility.
3) I think you should try for another 6 months under guidance of a fertility specialist and have sexual intercourse when your wife is ovulating.
4) As of now there is no other treatment is required.
5) Please do some life style modifications as follows: Do exercise regularly, lose weight if overweight, stop smoking and alcohol if you have habit.
Let me know if you have anymore questions.

I have some queries below
1. Is there a significance of the pus cells valus (04/hpf). FYI.. I saw a fertility specialist today, and have been advised an antibiotic ( 750 mg ) and an antioxidant tablet for 21 days and then repeat the CASA test.
2. What could be the cause for the decreased motility. Any foods / supplements that I should be starting with.
3. During the sample collection, was not very comfortable and may have been a bit strssed. Is it advisable to collect sample at home, assuming I can make it available to the lab within half an hour.
4. Where could I see you personally, for consultation.
Thanks and really sorry for too many questions.
Best Regards

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Few pus cells are normal and not a concern.
Anyway continue the antibiotics and antioxidants you have started.
Decreased motility may be temporary. No specific reasons. Collecting sample at home or lab is same. Makes no difference.
