Suggest Treatment For Delayed Periods Despite Taking Duphaston
Question: Hi doctor, I have hypothyroidism and irregular periods. This month I have taken duphaston for 5 days(2 tablets per day). But even after 6 days after stopping the last pill I haven't got my periods. What should I do?
Brief Answer:
wait for couple of days.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query and do understand your concern.
It may take anywhere between 4 to 8 days to get period after stopping this agent.
I would suggest you to wait for another couple of days. Hypothyroidism can also be responsible for causing delayed period.
If are planning pregnancy, I would suggest you to go for urine pregnancy test after three to four days.
Do not worry, stress can also delay the period, so relax. Duphaston will work.
Hope this information helps.
If you further queries, I'll be glad to address them.
Take care.
