About urination: there is no pain. But whenever she drinks water, she gets the urge after some time. Approximately 10-12 times today. Her bowel movement also very frequent. Urine volume is more like her bladder gets full. She drinks around 4 ltr water after being diagnosed. Physically, itching is the main problem right now. Can we do anything about itching. We tried coconut oil and calamine lotion. She feels weak as well.

Hi,
1. The reduced platelets are consistent with her diagnosis. Unless she starts bleeding from mouth, nostrils, etc, there is no reason to panic about this. The numbers will rise progressively.
2. Her increased urination and stools can be attributed to the increased fluids intake. I will encourage her to step down to 3liters daily and monitor her urination pattern and stools.
3. Add Zyrtec for itches. This will improve her quality of life.
I hope these guide and help. I wish your wife well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
Only one more question though. What about her SGOT(66) and SGPT(57) numbers? Should I be doing anything about it? GP suggested udiliv 150. But I am a bit apprehensive about taking anything regarding liver. Pls suggest.
Control the liver test in 2months!

Hi,
I will not add on this at this time. I believe it is part of the bigger picture. We should control the laboratory tests in 1month. If they are still abnormal, then I will recommend we see a gastroenterologist for further evaluation.
I wish you well and keep me updated!
