Suggest Treatment For Depression

Take help from the family if possible
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Thanks for your query. I have read your concerns, our past discussions and other questions.
I can understand what you are going through. depression, particularly when severe is always difficult to tackle. At present, When you do not have motivation to help yourself, You should see a therapist.
Actually, depression can result from a faulty thinking of a person that is based on wrong assumptions and automatic negative thoughts. These all together are called as cognitive distortions. Cognitive behavior therapy will identify your negative thoughts and assumptions and try to modify it. When a person is under stress and he can not find a way out, these thinking with rumination makes him/her confused and all these make life miserable. Person starts thinking that he/she is helpless, hopeless and life is worthless and finally suicidal thoughts come in mind. This is how depression makes life miserable.
If you really are feeling helpless and hopeless then do not wait, go and visit a psychiatrist, if not available in your state then visit another but do it. If possible get admitted to indoor facility to psychiatric nursing home.
If medications will help but they will take time meanwhile you can help yourself by doing exercise at least 5 days a week, yoga and meditation with breathing exercise will help. Meeting friends and relatives, engaging in social activities, playing puzzle games and other indoor sports as well as outdoor sports, recreational activities, listening your favourite music, engaging in your hobbies will help.
Which drugs are you taking currently and for how long?
By these words I have tried to help, but you need someone to sit around you and talk to you, get help. Do not make yourself alone, always keep company.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have further query then I will be happy to help.
Wish you good health.

Person should always optimistic in life
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing again.
Your concern for getting better will help you a lot, keep inspiring yourself.
Now some words about drugs you are taking:
1. Abilify 2 mg has no meaning in your depression, it is effective in a dose of at least 5 mg in a day.
2. Effexor 225 mg sounds effective dose for depression.
3. Vyvance 30 mg should be taken in morning for beneficial effects.
4. In stead of taking quetiapine 25 mg three times a day, it must be 100 mg at night because it has half life of 20-25 hours. Taking three times a day will make you more sleepy.
5. If you are taking lorazepam for sleep then it must be a night only like in my patients i would give 1 mg at night or may be more. If you are taking it for anxiety then it can be 1 mg twice a day. It's half life is more, so there is no need to take it four times a day.
6. Take synthroid regularly as you are taking now.
Visit your family doctor before making the changes in your dosage, I have suggested.
Apart from drugs you can visit and take part in sessions of depression support groups. Your therapist must have more knowledge of it. Ask your therapist about non-pharmacological management of depression.
If you keep inspiring yourself with positive attitude in life, you will make it, you will find your working capacity back. Optimism is a medicine in depression.
Hope I have answered your query.
